OSH for women workers has not yet become a focus in improving working conditions in the footwear industry in Indonesia, even though the majority of workers in the industry are women who are vulnerable due to intersectional discrimination.

Field research on women workers’ and homeworkers’ OSH in shoe factories.

kegiatan 2

Formation of a core group consisting of trade unions, NGOs, managements, and the Multi Stakeholder Initiative (MSIs). This core group works collaboratively in monitoring changes that occur in the research locations, and developing gender-responsive OSH guidelines, which are planned to be implemented in one of the research location factories.

Regular international Dialogue Forum (IDF). This activity brings together Indonesian and Indian core groups with brand owners and other stakeholders who are concerned with women workers’ OSH.
